In the aftermath of bird flu, as the poultry industry faces huge losses, it's the small poultry farmers who have been the worst hit.
Over a million farmers across the country have virtually lost their livelihood and have found desperate measures to tide over the crisis as they wait for the government to intervene.

it's the small poultry farmers who have been the worst hit- this
shows the human tragedy of bird flu. All of us are so much engrossed with the
fear that bird flu may infect us but we are hardly paying attention to the
plight of the poor farmers.
Now Bird flu is coming to Pakistan and let us hope that it does not destroy
the poor farmers there too.
